Paddle Party

Our annual paddle party fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 8 at Christ the King Parish Center. Doors will open at 11am, bidding will begin at noon. The cost is $5 for your first paddle and $2 for each additional paddle. 50/50 tickets will be available at 1 for $2 or 3 for $5. The kitchen will be open. A paddle party is part auction, part game of chance. Each bid costs just $.25 and the more paddles you have, the more chances you have to bid. Prizes range from themed baskets, admission tickets to various attractions throughout the area, gift cards to local restaurants and stores, and so much more. So, grab your quarters and a group of friends and head to Christ the King Parish Center at 100 Brisbin Street, Houtzdale for an afternoon of fun!
Donations of baskets or newly purchased items valued at $25 or more can be left in the boxes in the back of the churches; gift cards, admission tickets, etc. valued at $25 or more can be put in the collection basket or sent to the office in an envelope marked with “Paddle Party.” We thank you in advance for your generosity. Volunteers are needed from 6-8pm on the Friday evening before the paddle party and any time between 9am and 3:30pm the day of. Sign-up sheets are on the tables in the back of each church. Religious education students can use this project toward service hours for school-related clubs/activities.
