Finance Council Nominations Wanted

June 28, 2025

Christ the King Parish is now accepting nominations and letters of interest for its Finance Council. Letters accepted through July 1, 2025.

Great news! We have positions open on our Pastoral Council and our Finance Council. Any confirmed, registered and actively participating parishioner is eligible.

Please submit letters of interest/nominations for the council positions to Fr. Johnathan or a council member. Nominations are due by July 1.

This means that YOU now have the opportunity to be involved, to deepen your faith, broaden your community and help shape your church.

The Finance Council provides recommendations to the pastor concerning financial plans, controls, policies and other business matters. The council is led by Gospel values and sound business practices. It helps the church to be accountable and responsible to the people.

The Pastor and business staff keep the Finance Council informed of all parish financial matters including bank accounts, investments, endowments, special gives, debts etc. The council is also informed of future diocesan policies affecting parish administration. Members are to be familiar with and supportive of parish and diocesan goals and priorities.

Members serve a 3-year term and can serve up to 4 consecutive terms. They meet at least 4-times-a-year.

Finance Council Members: Shelly Hansel (moderator), Sally Hess, Girard Kasubick, Theresa Spewock, Matt Washic and Jim Weitoish. Ex Officio Members: Fr. Johnathan Schmolt (Pastor) and Cindy Slifko (Bookkeeper).
